Travel tip going to Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental

It was my first time traveling going to Dumaguete City which is a neighboring island and to the southern most part of Cebu province in the town of Santander. If you live in Metro Cebu here are some travel tips which will amazed you, especially when it is your first time. I never thought that going to Santander and Dumaguete City is not that expensive, knowing that it is too far from the City of Cebu. Well, first of all you need to ride on the bus at the South Bus Terminal which is located near Emall in P. del Rosario St., Cebu City. Upon entering the terminal there will be a 5 pesos entrance/terminal fee. Once you are inside the terminal, go to a section where it will ask you which part of the bus you would like to sit in, just go straight and turn right. You will be provided with a seat number and a terminal staff will call you when it is time to get on the bus. The bus ride takes 3 hours and the destination is to Bato, Liloan. What I can advise is not to seat on the front or at the back if you intend to sleep. Make sure you to choose the middle part and you will have a comfortable sleep or nap. Upon arriving in the destination, you will get off the bus at the port. A ticketing booth is located near the entrance and the regular price is 62 pesos. You will board on the Santander Express which is just a small boat. I think the capacity is less than 50 persons. On the boat, you will feel the thrill that it might be washed out by the waves. The Santander Express destination is from Santander port going to Sibulan port and vice versa. It takes 30 minutes to arrive at the Sibulan port where you can ride a multicab going to Dumaguete City and the fare is 10 pesos. In going back to Cebu, you have the option to go back in Sibulan or have a 300 pesos for boarding the ship, departing Dumaguete City.
